Ciena’s CN 5430 Optical Platform Ciena has announced its new optical switching platform, the CN 5430. Gibson Product Design worked for over six months with Ciena’s engineering teams in Linthicum MD and Ottawa ON to contribute the industrial design component of this product. Beyond creating a striking, brand-focused and unified appearance, we helped resolve user-centered issues of servicing access and functional status, introducing new materials and methods.
